The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) is a not-for-profit national trade association for Canada's retail travel sector, and it is owned by its members. ACTA's roots go back to 1977, and today it represents more than 12,000 travel advisors at member agencies, who handle over 80% of the travel booked through travel agencies in Canada. Its mission is to make sure Canadian consumers get professional, meaningful and ethical travel counselling.
