Every agency starts the same way: one advisor, one inbox, one spreadsheet, and a plan that fits in your head. Then you grow. A second advisor joins. Bookings move across three or four supplier portals. Commissions live in one file, contacts in another, and calendars in whatever app each person happens to prefer that week.

Nothing about that growth is a mistake. It's the sign that the business is working. But it does mean the tools have to keep up. Fragmentation isn't a failure of any one system. It's just what happens when the pieces of a growing agency don't talk to each other.

That's the problem we set out to solve with the work we shared at Runway '26, our virtual event on August 26, 2026. Almost 5,000 advisors and agency owners joined us live, and the response confirmed what we suspected: growth shouldn't require chaos. The platform underneath your business should get simpler as your business gets bigger, not the other way around.

So here's the headline: this is a new Travefy. Not a features list that happened to ship in the same release. Here's how Travefy CEO David Chait put it when he opened the event:

"A runway is the least glamorous thing at an airport. Nobody takes a photo of it. Nobody claps for it. But nothing takes off without one. And you can't build one when you're already in the air."

When we started Travefy, the job was helping you plan a beautiful trip. That's still true, and it always will be. But the job got bigger. You're running teams now, managing commissions, answering to a P&L. So the platform had to get bigger too.

This year, we didn't bolt new features onto the old foundation. We rebuilt the foundation itself, then connected everything on top of it. Foundation first, then connection, then growth. That's the order we built in, and it's the order this recap follows.

What follows is organized around the three themes that carried the entire event: financial visibility (knowing exactly what's coming in and what's going out, without hunting for it), team operations (the structure and control you need as your team grows), and connection (less of your work scattered across other tools, more of it happening together, in one place). We'll close with Compass, the new home base that ties all of it together.

The Work Behind the Trip

Bookings sit at the center of nearly everything an advisor does. The client, the trip, the supplier, the money, and eventually the agency all connect back to them. Historically, that information hasn't lived in one place. A booking might sit in one system, the client somewhere else, and commissions somewhere else entirely.

Runway '26 was built around a simple idea: make bookings the connective thread that runs through the business, from the first conversation with a client all the way through the financials. Here's what that looks like.

Financial Visibility: From Money In to Money Out

For agency owners, it's not enough to know what's being sold. You need to know where the money is. What's coming in, what's going out, what's been paid, and what still needs attention.

Today, that visibility often lives across spreadsheets, filing cabinets, and disconnected systems. Which means hours spent reconciling payments, and commissions that get missed simply because no one caught them.

Smart Reconcile is built to close that gap. Your advisors' bookings are already in Travefy, and Smart Reconcile uses AI to read a supplier's pay statement, match each commission line to the right booking, and flag anything that needs a second look. Instead of working through a statement line by line, you're reviewing exceptions and moving on. It handles real-world complexity too: multiple commissions on a single booking, group travel, clawbacks, and adjustments, not just the easy cases.

Around Smart Reconcile, we've expanded visibility and automation for the full commission picture:

  • Unclaimed commissions surface everything an agency is owed, including commissions that may have been sitting unclaimed, so nothing gets overlooked.
  • Advisor commission splits let allocations happen automatically once they're set, cutting out manual math and back and forth.
  • Bookings overview, reports, and QuickBooks export give agencies and advisors a way to track what's being sold, monitor performance, and move payout data straight into existing accounting workflows.

The goal is the same throughout: a clear line from the trip you sold to the commission you're owed to the advisor who gets paid, without leaving Travefy to piece it together. And we're continuing to teach Smart Reconcile to handle even more of the messy, real-world reconciliation scenarios agencies deal with every day.

Team Operations: Room to Grow Without the Chaos

As an agency grows, "can I find this contact" becomes "can my whole team find this contact, understand its status, and act on it without stepping on each other." That's what this pillar is about.

Stronger contact visibility controls let admins manage who sees what across the team, instead of making every contact visible to everyone by default. That gives growing agencies real control over sensitive data and contact lists from day one.

We've also redesigned the Contacts experience into a CRM that's faster to work in at any size: contact search, bulk actions, and import and export with custom fields mean less time managing data and more time serving clients.

Consistency matters just as much as speed. With agency-managed suppliers, agencies can define and standardize supplier information once, instead of every advisor recreating the same supplier with a different spelling and a different setup, trip after trip. That single source of truth flows directly into bookings, commissions, and terms and conditions.

Growth isn't just about the tools a team uses. It's how fast new advisors get up to speed. Agencies can build an onboarding plan with their account manager, and Travefy Academy gives new advisors a way to learn independently and build confidence quickly.

None of this changes what Travefy does. It changes how much friction sits between you and doing it, especially once you're not the only person in the account.

Connection: Fewer Tabs, Less Re-Entry

Travefy was never going to become a calendar app, and that's not what this pillar is either. It's about removing the re-entry that happens when your trip data and your daily tools don't talk to each other.

Scott Rutz, VP of Commercial and a member of Travefy's founding team, put it bluntly at Runway '26:

"The fragmentation and disconnectedness of technology is probably the most fundamental problem in the industry."

That's the problem this section exists to solve. Not by turning Travefy into everything, but by closing the specific gaps where advisors are retyping information the systems already have.

Google Calendar sync brings your Travefy events (tasks, client travel, birthdays) right into the calendar you already check every day, and pulls your Google Calendar into Compass in return, so your schedule stays in one place no matter where you're looking from.

Booking imports got more connected too. If you're already bringing a reservation into your itinerary the way many advisors do today, Travefy now brings the booking in alongside it. The same work you were already doing now also builds the operational record of your business. We've deepened this specifically for ALG Vacations, so importing an ALGV booking now connects the booking data along with it, and it works the same way for Expedia TAP itinerary imports.

For agencies that already run on a back office or agency management system, our longtime partners at Legato were the first to integrate with Travefy's CRM API. Bookings built in Travefy now re-export and report directly into Legato's back office automatically, so agencies don't have to abandon a system that already works for them.

We're also connecting to the systems around the trip itself. Marketing campaigns will let agencies send personalized email outreach straight from the contact data already in Travefy, no separate marketing tool required, with visibility into open rate, click-through rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribe rate. Consortia integrations with partners including Signature, Travel Leaders, and Virtuoso are underway, so client and booking data can flow into consortia marketing and sales reporting without manual uploads. And we're rolling out a first group of travel insurance partners, including Arch RoamRight, Allianz, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, Travel Insured International, and Faye, with quoting built directly into the booking workflow so insurance stops feeling like a separate, disconnected step. More partners are on the way.

Every integration we build starts from the same question: what is an advisor re-typing today that the systems already know? If the answer points to a real workflow, we build the connection. If it doesn't, we leave it alone.

Compass: Your Home Base in Travefy

Everything above is foundational work. The kind that doesn't always show up as a feature you can point to, but that everything else depends on. Compass is where it becomes visible.

It's your CRM dashboard, but it's built to be more than that. Instead of starting your day by figuring out where to go, Compass brings together everything that needs your attention: your schedule, your trips, your tasks, your clients, in one place. It's designed to answer four questions the moment you open it:

  • What's new?
  • What needs my attention?
  • What do my day and week look like?
  • How is my business doing?

The day-and-week view pulls in your Google Calendar alongside your Travefy tasks and the automated work Travefy is already doing on your behalf, like a scheduled trip reminder. The what's-new view surfaces the things that happened since you last checked (a form filled out, a client landing on their trip, a payment authorized) and separates them from what actually needs action, so Compass doesn't turn into one more inbox to manage. See something that needs attention, click into it in context, take care of it, move on. And zoomed out, Compass shows the full trip pipeline: what's quoted, confirmed, and paid, alongside the financial picture of potential bookings, expected commissions, and what's actually come in.

For years, the requests we heard were narrower: a CRM dashboard, a calendar. But when we dug into what advisors actually needed, it was bigger than either of those on their own. Something that cuts through the noise and gives you confidence you're looking at the right things, without adding one more thing to manage.

Start every day with clarity instead of a scavenger hunt. That's what Compass is for.

This Is the Start, Not the Finish

Runway '26 closed out a chapter of work we've been building for agencies and their advisors, and it opens the next one. Financial visibility, team operations, and connection aren't a features list we checked off. They're the direction we're building in, and Compass is the first full expression of what that direction looks like day to day.

As David put it closing out the event:

"What you saw today is not the end state. It's the beginning." This is genuinely a new Travefy: a stronger foundation, fully connected, with a home base that ties it together. And we're going to keep building on it, because there's a lot more coming.
