Winemaker Pavle Milic: Passionate Advocate of Arizona Wines
Pavle Milic’s journey to winemaking began with his successful career in hospitality in New York City and the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Born with gracious hospitality genes – a gift from his Columbian mother and Yugoslavian father – Milic entered the restaurant business at age 15 and had a storied front-of-the-house career during which he embraced the relationship between food and wine, farmers, and winemakers. As a restaurateur in Scottsdale, he nurtured his ambition of becoming a winemaker.
Always a passionate advocate for Arizona wines, Pavle acted on his dream in 2014 when he launched his wine label. A fortuitous meeting with Mo Garfinkle, a former aviation consultant, led to a business partnership. In 2018, they purchased the estate vineyard in Elgin, Arizona with a shared vision of creating a winery that would be a gift to Arizona. The partners also bought a second vineyard in nearby Elfrida, Arizona in 2018, which they expanded three years later.
That vision is Los Milics Vineyards. The estate vineyard in Elgin, AZ features a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, stunning tasting room, and guest lodging in nine casitas. A tasting room in Scottsdale, AZ opened in February 2024.

An Oasis of Serenity
