  • Don't get stuck in your hotel room charging your phone. Make sure you bring a power bank like this INIU Portable Charger (Amazon) so you can seize the day.

  • Disney secret: if you don't want to spend money on buying water bottles, you can go to any quick service restaurant and ask for tap water. They'll give you as many cold water cups as you ask for. If you bring a reusable bottle like this Naglene BPA Bottle you can refill it yourself from the restaurants or the water fountains.

  • Want to take a selfie, but you're by the backside of water?  Or perhaps IN the back side of water? Use one of these Floating Waterproof Phone Pouches (Amazon) to avoid any watery phone mishaps. I brought them to Typhoon Lagoon and took pictures on my phone all day!

  • If you're going to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach or just spending a ton of time at the hotel pool avoid stubbing and scratching your feet by buying a pair of these unisex Barerun Water Shoes. Your feet will thank you. These will grip the floor if you're ascending steps to the slide over (and over and over). Here's a water shoes version for the kiddos.

  • Disney does sell a version of these at the parks if you want one with Mickey heads all over them. If you prefer a more subdued design, try the Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad Instant Cooling Towel (Amazon). Wet the towel, wring, and it provides cooling to whatever area it's placed on, like your neck. It definitely makes a difference, especially if your trip is in August or September.

  • If a towel isn't your thing try this Personal Mini Fan (Amazon). The shape is adorable and it beats the heat. 
Sun, Sun, and more Sun!

  • Need to refresh your sun block? Try the Sun Bum Travel Sun Care Pack (Amazon). Comes with 30 SPF sun block, after sun care, a lip balm with SPF and a pouch so you're not digging through your beach bag looking for coverage.

  • Looking to stay out of the sun this Disney trip? Try the Cuby UV Sun Umbrella (Amazon). It's compact and small enough to toss in your bag. Use it when you can't avoid long, shadeless lines in the sun.

  • Hats! Many options now besides all the exciting options at Disney. For men try this Super Wide Brim Bucket Hat and this Zip-Off Wide Brim Hat for women (Amazon) that will work with ponytails or updos.  Or try this Straw Visor Hat and channel your inner Grace Kelly. 
Kids! And for the Kids at Heart

  • Pack this Disney Eye Found It card game to play on your travels to Disney or during some downtime at the parks (Amazon). It's small enough to toss into your carryon and your daily Disney bag.

  • It's a good idea to order a fun sized snack like the Nabisco Variety Mix (Amazon) to avoid spending $5+ on these at the airport or even at the hotel store/vending machine. There will probably be enough for your trip down and back.

  • If you want a healthier option, try the Cliff Bars Crunchy Peanut Butter Energy Bars (Amazon). Just avoid any options with solid chocolate as you don't want them to melt in your bag. They offer a boost of energy, especially when you don't realize how many "niles and niles and niles" you've walked and walked. 
Clothing and Accessories

  • Having a sturdy bag that doesn't make you cringe when you put it on the sidewalk while you're waiting for a parade or (gasp) on the floor of a ride is VERY important. I love the Kipling Seoul Backpack. They offer a bunch of sizes and colors. I recommend one with two side pockets for a water bottle or soda.

  • If you're looking for a different style, try the Zomake Lightweight Backpack. It's for hiking trips so it's lightweight and durable. It'll survive summer rainstorms and sweat.

  • Spending a day by the water? I really like the Cupshe brand. They've got a huge assortment of coverups like this Long Elegant Coverup or this Short Casual Beach Dress or a simple Sarong Coverup option (Amazon).

  • I suggest bringing a poncho with you if you're going to Disney during the summer. Chances are there will be at least one rainstorm you're caught in. Check out the Frogg Toggs Rain Poncho (Amazon). They have adult and kid sizes.

  • A century ago, hat boxes were a part of traveling. Now-a-days you either have to pack a small hat like a baseball cap or something that rolls up. Health and Beauty

  • Sometimes you have neighbors that leave their TV on too loud, or kids are running in the hallways. Prevent all the irritation of interrupted sleep with Mack's Ultra Soft Foam Ear Plugs (Amazon). Toss a couple of these in your bag just in case.

  • Disney is pretty vigilant about spraying for mosquitos, but if you're a tasty human mosquitoes seem to love, grab a bottle of Repel 100 Insect Repellent (Amazon). This stuff is pretty strong. If you're looking for something a little more natural, try the Off! Insect Repellent Plant Based Bug Spray instead (Amazon).

  • After a long pool day or if you're at one of the water parks make sure you bring Mizani Miracle Milk Leave In (Amazon). Hair detangles with minimal effort. It's great for detangling hair. Consider spraying your hair before getting in the water and wrapping it up for extra protection.

  • Guaranteed someone will have a Mickey Ice Cream Bar and get chocolate all over their hands. It's either that or popcorn. Keep a pack of the Amazon Elements Baby Wipes in your bag when this situation arises.

  • I've been using the Kitsch Microfiber Towel Scrunchies on my wet hair and they absorb so much water (Amazon). They won't pull or damage hair either.
