What can I expect when working with you as my travel advisor?

We start with a complimentary consultation to determine if I am a good fit for you and vice versa. I will ask you some questions to help me understand and create an amazing vacation for you. As your travel advisor, I will present a plan or multiple options and then work with you to fine tune the details. You will have one point of contact before, during and after travel, to ensure that everything goes smoothly.

Why do you charge planning fees?

Each trip is custom designed and I spend considerable time researching, planning and negotiating. During your initial consultation with me, I will discuss our procedures including fee structure. Planning fees start at $50 USD and vary based on the destination and number of travelers on the trip.

Can you help me find a deal?

I work as an advocate for my clients to provide the best value, which is not always the lowest price. I also work with a multitude of travel partners to extend benefits such as complimentary breakfast, upgrades and more.

Can you book my rewards travel?

If you want to redeem or earn loyalty points or miles, please let me know during our initial conversation so that we can explore those options.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is available and recommended to protect your travel investment. Many trips, such as tours and cruises, involve non-refundable funds paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment. Perhaps even more important is the ‘during travel’ coverage and assistance that comes with the top-flight insurance companies we carry.

Trip interruption due to illness or unforeseen circumstances can be very expensive, and medical care abroad is often not covered by domestic insurance plans.

Why should I book with you instead of an online booking site or direct with the resort?

With us, you get exceptional personal assistance before, during, and after your vacation.

Budget is important and we strive to get your dream vacation within the budget you've set for it. There's no pressure to go above and beyond what you're comfortable with. You can't enjoy your vacation when you're stressed out about paying for it.

We provide honest advice about all resorts and destinations to help you choose the perfect resort for you

You also benefit from our extensive personal connections which carry a certain gravitas when needing anything addressed. We have an easier time getting you perks (like getting your room upgraded)—it's easier for us to get a "yes" because we work with them often.

How long does it take to plan a trip?

It depends. Some are extra easy and can be organized in an hour, while others include many different moving parts and might take weeks.

How far in advance should I book my trip? Should I wait for a last minute deal?

This depends on where and when you are going. If you are heading to a popular destination and you have specific dates for travel, you need to book this as early as you can. This also goes for dates surrounding holidays like Spring Break and Christmas. Some cruises are available to book almost 2 years prior to departure and we often recommend that for trips that are celebrating something special.

January through March is referred to as “Wave Season” or the Black Friday of the Cruise Industry, with cruise lines offering lots of incentives to book your cruise.
