My husband and I have three children, and we are a proud Coast Guard family! We currently call North Carolina home, but prior to NC, we had the opportunity to live in Astoria, Oregon. Our family loved driving across the country and exploring the amazing places that our nation has to offer.
I have also been fortunate enough to visit breathtaking countries including France, Thailand, Amsterdam, Germany, most of Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, and she even lived in Saudi Arabia. A great passion of mine is history, so it was an amazing opportunity to learn more about those places and see historical sites in person. My second greatest passion is food! Traveling internationally has given me a chance to try new flavors and also has provided the opportunity to immerse myself in new cultures and circumstances.
I grew up in Central Florida (which meant frequent trips to Disney and Universal!), and it allowed me to become very familiar with the area. I also worked for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex which provided me an insight into the tourism industry. I am looking forward to passing along my knowledge of the world and helpful travel tips to clients in hopes of helping them plan their own unforgettable adventures!
I have been lucky enough to be able to visit Italy twice in my life so far. My husband and I went for a three week trip over the winter holidays. We spend Christmas listening to the bells ringing from Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore on Christmas day. We got lost (one of my favorite experiences) in the canals of Venice for New Year's and spent the last week enjoying the beauties of Florence.
I feel like we really got to see each of the different places at a wonderful pace. The touristy area's weren't packed and most of the locals go visit family in the countryside. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I hope to bring my children to enjoy one day.
