The temperatures will be coolish, with highs during the day in 60's and we will experience approx. 18 hours of daylight. July is the driest month but can be windy. They also claim to have some extremely beautiful sunsets in July. As we journey north around the island it will get cooler and with the wind coming off the North Atlantic, it will be much cooler, so make sure you pack your jackets.
Although the best viewing of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) is from September to April, they are viewable every day and as we sail north from Reykjavik going around Iceland, it increases our chances to see the Northern Lights.
So come with us and hopefully check that off your bucket list.
Whilst there are many animals that are similar to the animals around the midwest, there are some that we will possibly see, such as whales, arctic fox, puffins, seals, dolphins, and more. But the good news is no polar bears to contend with on our journey.
As we move around to Norway and Sweden, we will see much of the same but we may see some musk ox, eagles, and some other animals.
