Korty Travel Terms & Conditions

Travel Documentation

U.S. citizens travelling to any destination outside of the United States will be required to present a valid U.S. passport. Passports must be valid for 6 months past the return date. Some countries require a visa for transit or entry. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have all the proper documents for entry. All names on documents must match the legal name on your photo I.D., and travel document information must match tickets. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that any legal issues do not prohibit them from entering certain countries. Immunizations may also be required for entering certain countries.

Failure to comply with these regulations may result in denied boarding, denied entry, and/or government-imposed fines.

If you are a citizen of another country, there may be additional requirements. Check with the nearest consulate or embassy of the destination you are travelling to and find out the entry requirements for non-U.S. citizens.

New federal regulations require REAL ID verified documents for air travel. Please go to www.dhs.gov/read-id to ensure your state identification is valid for air travel.

All guests are responsible for attaining proper travel documentation including visas.

Entry requirements to foreign countries (Including CANADA)

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they are not inadmissible to any country they are visiting due to past or present legal decisions or convictions. This includes but is not limited to; past due child support, sex offender registry, DUI, felony convictions etc. It is important to note that some countries may deny entry for any reason they deem inadmissible. For example, a client with a past DUI may be considered inadmissible to Canada.

Cruise Travel

Passports are highly recommended but, in many cases, not required for U.S. citizens who board a cruise ship at a port within the United States, travel only within the Western Hemisphere, and return to the same U.S. port on the same ship. Passengers may present government issued photo identification, along with proof of citizenship (an original or certified copy of his or her birth certificate, a Consular report of Birth Abroad, or a Certificate of Naturalization). Certain cruise lines always require a passport to travel, please ask your vacation specialist if this is required.

Passports are required in order to fly to or from a foreign country. We recommend that all guests travel with a valid passport during their cruise. This will enable guests to fly from the U.S. to meet their ship at the first port should they miss their scheduled embarkation; and allow guests that must debark the ship before their cruise ends to fly back to the U.S without significant delays and complications.

Korty Travel Serviced Air

Seat assignments for your itinerary will be requested and are based upon the best available at the time of reservation. Not all air segments allow for advance seat assignment and may be reserved only at Airport check-in or for purchase from the airline. Please note assigned seats on Airlines are not guaranteed. Seat assignments can be changed for reasons beyond our control. Many flights purchased with our suppliers at discounted rates cannot be upgraded using points. Some rates will accumulate reduced points.

We are unable to reserve frequent flyer mile tickets.

Independent air booking fees are $97 per person per flight segment. Fee does not apply if booking within a package or with cruise line air programs.

All airline reservations are non-refundable unless otherwise noted on the reservation.

Check Payments

Credit or debit cards are the preferred method of payment for all vacations. Personal checks will not accepted. Some deposit payments will not allow for check payments. If paying by money order or cashier’s check your due date will be an additional ten days in advance of the date on your invoice. Regardless of due dates, checks must be received a minimum of 75 days before your departure.

Cruise Price Monitoring

Korty Travel utilizes a proprietary automated process for monitoring cruise price reductions. We cannot guarantee that all price reductions will be caught through this process. Certain rate codes and exclusive offers from the cruise lines do not allow for any price reductions. Travel insurance pricing will not be reduced and will be based on original value when booked. Many cruise lines do not allow price reductions after final payment and in those cases we will make our best efforts to secure upgrades if higher meta-categories (interior, overview, balcony, suites) are less than the current amount paid. Upgrades are at the discretion of the cruise line. Some non-refundable rates do not allow for any price reductions or upgrades. Price reductions will only be processed if the amount is greater than $50 per person. Price reductions may incur a fee of up to $25 per person.

Ocean and River Cruise Itinerary Changes

Cruising the ocean or sailing the river is a fantastic way to vacation and one of our favorites! Please note that weather, river levels, mechanical, or other issues may change your itinerary. An ocean cruise may need to divert to avoid a hurricane to give you a pleasant cruising experience. A river may be too low or too high for a river vessel to navigate – forcing all or part of your voyage to be on a deluxe motorcoach. Any of these changes may be a last-minute decision by the cruise lines and is beyond our control. The supplier may or may not offer any compensation for the change. Compensation is at the discretion of the cruise line.

COVID-19

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, senior citizens and Guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By travelling to any destination, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Each state or country has its own set of regulations needed for incoming travelers and you may be required to be tested before or during travel to enter a country. Should you test positive or have any other symptoms the state or country can deny entry or quarantine for illness at your own cost. Some states or countries may require extra insurance, paperwork, or information to approve entry to the state or country. As regulations are ever changing, it is the client’s sole responsibility to be up to date on regulations.
