From the same word in French, environs means “surroundings” and is most often used in the context of the areas surrounding a city. When traveling, I think the definition of environs is as much about physically getting out of a big city as it is diving deep into its lesser known corners.

In my own travels, I've been most inspired and moved by time spent embracing the environs of my destinations – from stumbling through a broken Portuguese-English conversation to order a sandwich in a small fishing village outside of Lisbon, to slowing down to do nothing but watch the city go by from a café terrace in Paris.

Is your hotel booking service really free?

What kind of trips do you plan and to where?
I can help you with any type of trip, from honeymoon to solo staycation to family reunion, anywhere in the world! My deepest expertise is in travel to France, Portugal and the southeastern United States, but I have the network of Fora Advisors behind me who are experts in every corner of the globe. I can also book cruises (Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Viking, etc.) and  escorted tours (Backroads, Tauck, etc.).
