April to December
The Dominican Republic is blessed with year-round warm temperatures and waters, so bring a boatload of sunblock to avoid sunburn and your favorite bathing suit and live it up. The best time to visit the DR is between April and December, which is when the dry season in Punta Cana is at its peak. The DR can be affected by hurricane season, June 1 through November 30, but usually is spared from severe tropical storms. The rainiest months are September and October.
No! Not it's not what you think! Mamajuana is the native spiced rum of the DR. It is said to be of the first distilled spirits in the Americas, dating back 500 years to the native Taino people.
