FAQ's

What are the Passport and Visa Requirements for South Africa?

PASSPORT VALIDITY:

  • It is each traveler's responsibility to have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of travel.
  • Passport applications are available at most U.S. Post Offices, as well as at regional Passport Agencies. To learn how to apply for a U.S. Passport including expedited services,  Click here https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html
  • IMPORTANT: Passengers who are not U.S. citizens must check with the respective consulate or a visa agency to determine what personal identification is required. Passengers who enter, leave and then re-enter the same country on their itinerary should check if they require a double-entry visa.

BLANK PASSPORT PAGES:

SOUTH AFRICA - Passengers are required to have at least two, entirely blank (unstamped) visa pages (i.e. one side of such a page not front and back thereof) in their passport, each time entry is sought into South Africa, including re-entry from eSwatini.

TOURIST VISA REQUIRED:

  • If you’re traveling with a passport from the US, Canada, the UK and many EU countries, you do not need a visa to visit South Africa as long as your trip is for tourism or business and isn’t more than 90 days. You’ll need to have a ticket showing your return travel exiting South Africa, meet a few passport requirements and, depending on where you’re traveling from, provide other documentation. But keep in mind that requirements can change, and it's important to check before you travel.

Do I need a Malaria shot? :

  • The Safari and areas that we are visiting in this itinerary are Malaria free, so no Malaria shot is needed.

DOES THE LAND PACKAGE INCLUDE FLIGHTS?

  • NO- But we are planning to make arrangements for a group flight on Delta Airlines Non-stop Economy Class that will depart from Atlanta if we have at least 10 people who are interested.
