We could not be more excited to share that your host and guide for our September 2026 Tuscany adventure will be the incredible Becki Trout.
Becki is one of those rare travelers who has truly seen the world—more than 60 countries and counting—and Italy holds an especially big piece of her heart. Tuscany, in particular, feels like home to her. She knows its back roads, its family-run wineries, its quiet hill towns, and its rhythms the way only someone who adores the place can. Her energy is contagious, her stories are endless, and her ability to help a group fall in love with Italy is nothing short of magical. Having Becki lead this departure feels like the most natural (and luckiest!) thing in the world for us.
Allison and I had originally planned to host this trip ourselves, but an opportunity came up that we simply couldn’t turn down: at the exact same dates, we’ll be deep in Northern Italy on a research and scouting mission for several brand-new VanArnam Adventures itineraries we’re developing. We’ll be based around stunning Lake Como, hiking and exploring the Dolomites, and tasting our way through the legendary wine country of Piedmont—Barolo included, of course. This trip is a big investment in the future of the company so we can keep bringing you fresh, authentic, and unforgettable experiences in the years ahead.
Because of that once-in-a-lifetime scheduling overlap, we’re turning the reins over to Becki—and we couldn’t be leaving you in better hands.
Everything else about the trip remains exactly as you’ve come to expect from us.
At the heart of this adventure is our private villa, which will be our home for 7 nights. No packing and unpacking or moving from hotel to hotel—just a serene base where each guest enjoys a private suite with its own bathroom. Each morning, our private chef will serve breakfast at the villa, giving you the flexibility to start your day exactly how you like. Then we’ll head out for our daily adventures, returning in the afternoons to relax, take a dip in the pool, or enjoy a glass of wine—the choice is yours.
Evenings are reserved for dining in some of Tuscany’s finest restaurants, where every meal is a celebration of the region’s incredible flavors. With a “leave your wallet at home” approach, you can simply enjoy every moment without worrying about the details.
Our group is intentionally small, with just 15 people—14 travelers plus Becki leading the way.
The trip cost is $6,000 per person, based on double occupancy. A deposit of $1,000 per person secures your spot. The journey begins and ends in Florence, and airfare is not included.
