Self-Guided Jotunheimen Trail Norway Cross Country Ski

Norway’s Jotunheimen National Park northwest of Oslo is Scandinavia’s most mountainous region. Known as the Home of the Giants, it’s home to glaciers, lakes, Norway’s Høgruta (‘high route’) and the country’s two highest peaks: Galdhøpiggen and Glittertind. The terrain ranges from remote mountains and broad plateaux, to lakes and gentle forests. The equally impressive peaks of nearby Rondane National Park can also often be seen from the trails. 

From December to April the tracks in this established cross-country region are well prepared, marked and maintained. With generally good going underfoot, enjoy looking out for local wildlife including moose and reindeer. You will stay in authentic mountain lodges, cabins, and historic hotels, enjoying tasty regional specialities such as deer, reindeer and trout.
