In Central Oregon, fly fishing is a way of life for the simple reason that there’s just so much of it at our fingertips. The region is full of rivers and lakes with beautiful mountain backdrops ranging from high desert to alpine forests. In this proposal we've featured two of our favorite and uniquely different fishing locations. The Lower Deschutes River, arguable the most iconic destination in the region, is ideal for multi-day trips where anglers can explore the vast expanse of the river as it weaves through the dry, craggy desert-like scenery. In contrast, the Metolius River is one of the grandest spring creeks in the lower 48, offering plenty of challenging stream fishing under pine-shaded banks. Beyond fishing, Central Oregon is an outdoor recreationalist's dream, with ample activities such as whitewater rafting, mountain biking and rock climbing.
