Photographing Tigers at Pench National Park (04 Days #1469-GWF)

Destinations: Pench National Park
Duration: 03 Nights and 04 Days
Tour Code: #1469-GWF

Description:
The forests of Central India have long been a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with Madhya Pradesh's tiger reserves standing out for their high tiger densities and diverse landscapes. This combination offers exceptional opportunities for wildlife sightings and birdwatching.

Pench National Park, straddling the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, is one such gem. Established in 1975, the park is named after the Pench River, which flows through it, effectively dividing the park into nearly equal halves. The lush, well-forested Seoni region of Pench is renowned as the inspiration for Rudyard Kipling’s "The Jungle Book."

The park is celebrated for its tiger population, but it also boasts a significant number of leopards, sloth bears, and various deer species.

Additionally, Pench is home to a rich variety of bird species. Surrounding the park are villages inhabited by farmers, laborers, and members of the Gond tribe, adding a cultural touch to the wildlife experience.
