The Little Rann of Kutch is a landscape unlike any other — a vast, surreal salt desert where nature’s resilience and beauty unfold in every direction. This unique ecosystem is the only home of the endemic Asiatic Wild Ass and offers incredible birding opportunities with species such as the McQueen's Bustard, Hoopoe Lark, and countless migratory visitors. The region’s open spaces, wetlands, and desert vistas make it a photographer’s dream and a naturalist’s paradise.
From here, we travel to the legendary Gir National Park, the last refuge of the Asiatic Lion. Gir’s dry deciduous forests, rocky hills, and flowing rivers are home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife, including over 800+ lions, 400+ leopards, and a rich variety of birds and smaller mammals. Exploring these forests offers an unforgettable glimpse into India’s most iconic big cat territory.
Our last stop is at Velavadar Blackbuck National Park, a serene expanse of golden grasslands reminiscent of the African savannas. Here, herds of graceful Blackbucks roam freely, Indian wolves and Striped hyenas prowl the edges, and spectacular harrier roosts fill the skies at dusk. The tranquility and openness of Velavadar offer a perfect finale — a chance to reflect on the wild beauty and harmony of Gujarat’s natural landscapes.
