A ten day trip to the beautiful Hawaiian islands to celebrate your 40th anniversary in April. You will leave Portland on a non-stop flight to Maui. At the airport in Maui you will be welcomed Hawaiian style with fresh flower lei'. You will proceed to pick up your Alamo Intermediate rental car and head to the wonderful Royal Lahaina Resort. You will check into your deluxe ocean view room for four nights. The rest of the day is for relaxing and soaking up the wonderful view. Take a stroll along the beach in the warm sunshine before having a wonderful dinner. The rest of the four days will be filled with sightseeing and activities. Drive the road to Hana,  drive to the top of 10,000 foot Haleakala crater to Haleakala National park visitor center to watch the sunrise. At the end of the four days you will board a non-stop 30 minute flight to the Island of Hawaii. You will pick up your Alamo intermediate rental car at the airport. You will spend six nights at the beautiful Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel (formerly the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel)  in an ocean view room. On the island of Hawaii is  Volcano National Park. The island of Hawaii is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain. Nearly twice as big as all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined (hence, its nickname, “Big Island”), its sheer size is awe-inspiring. You can travel through all but four of the world's different climate zones there, ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra, a result of the shielding effect and elevations of the massive volcanoes Maunakea and Maunaloa.
