If anyone gets stung by a jellyfish, the best tip is to rinse the area with vinegar (acetic acid) as soon as possible. This helps to neutralize the toxins from the jellyfish sting. After rinsing, carefully remove any tentacles that are still attached to the skin using tweezers (not your bare hands), Scrape slowly with a razor or credit card, and then soak the affected area in hot water (not scalding) for about 20-45 minutes, as this can help reduce pain and deactivate the toxins.

Important steps:

Get out of the water immediately to avoid further stings.
Rinse with vinegar for 30 seconds to neutralize stingers. If vinegar is unavailable, seawater can be used, but never use fresh water as it can trigger the release of more venom.
Remove tentacles carefully using tweezers/razor/credit card
Soak in hot water (ideally between 104°F to 113°F) for pain relief.
