I believe that family vacations are a chance to create lifelong memories, and my mission is to make every journey truly magical. As a specialized travel agent, I focus on three extraordinary types of travel experiences: Disney destinations, Universal Resorts, and Ocean and River Cruising.

In 2013, I retired from the United States Air Force, after 21 years of service. During my career, I spent three years as a Deployment Manager, which is like a Travel Agent for military deployments. I have been a huge Disney fan for as long as I can remember - my husband and I even got married at Walt Disney World! Following my retirement, I realized that I could merge one of the most fulfilling jobs I had in the military with one of the things which gave me the most joy, Disney; and Kristen Hickey with Mouse Counselors was born! 

Since then, my husband has also retired from the Air Force, and we have settled in the Orlando metro area, where I am a passholder and frequent visitor of both Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort. I have stayed in the resort hotels, dined in the restaurants, visited the parks, done all the events...I know all the details, tricks, and tips to help make your vacation magical!
