Planning my 2009 destination wedding at Dreams Puerto Aventuras in the Riviera Maya sparked my imagination, but that was only the beginning.

It turns out my wonderful husband and I share an exuberance for travel only rivaled by our two sons. Our family vacations to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Cancun/Riviera introduced our family to the joys of getting away, together. There is no question that our vacations must be ‘kid approved.’

Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort ignited a fire in my sons, just as it did in me many moons ago. My oldest son makes it known that his perfect vacation spot is Universal Orlando, but the mere mention of a Disney Cruise puts a sparkle in my youngest son’s eye.

As parents, we are having the time of our life seeing the world reflected in our children’s eyes. Watching my loved ones thrive on our travel adventures ultimately led me to start Ahoy Vacations. I figured I could share my passion and knowledge to help others experience their dream vacations.
